Qutbul-ul-Auliya,
Hazart Al-Haj Sufi Syed Mansur-ul-Hasan Shah |
Quadri Chishti, Abul-Ulayee,
Jahangiri. |
This is the most glowing
name and personage in Quadri, Chishti, Abul-Ulayee,
Jahangiri Sufi tradition of Silsila-e-Aliya. HAZRAT
SUFI SYED MANSUR-UL-HASAN SHAH the Peer and freedom
fighter for India lived among us till 1996. He
was fair, strongly built, pleasant-faced person.
He was also a loving, caring and generous man.
Looking beyond his outward personality his spiritual
attainments cannot be described within a few pages.
Often sitting among his friends and disciples
he used to quote one of his favorites Urdu couplet
“Ahl-e-jahan ko kya Khabar, kaun hai mujh
mein jawalgar” (What man of world have knowledge,
who is radiant in me) “main hoon kahan tum
hi ho asal mein raaz hai yahi” (Me? not,
it is you and you only this truth of secret).
All the Sufi tradition sums up in Prophet of Allah
(PBUH). According to Abul-Ulayee Jahangiri Silsila-e-Aliya
lineage sums up in Prophet (PBUH). According to
him, a true peer (Master) reflects inner and outer
level of his Murshid (disciple). His conscious,
un conscious acts and utterances spell the knowledge
of the Prophet’s (PBUH) life and philosophy.
A perfect peer transmits his spiritual gains to
his Mureed. |

solace to men an women of all faiths and beliefs.
He used to comfort them in their aliments, anxieties
and sorrows. Hazrat never claimed any miraculous
powers. He always warned people keep away from
fake Chamatkaris or Dhongis. He used to advice
‘Don’t expect for supernatural means
to fulfill your needs. If you are sick, you consult
a doctor and take medicines. I too take medicines
and consulate doctors for my failing health. I
don’t melt into air to reach a place I want
to visit. I board the common transport system
and buy tickets like everyone else”. |

or other. HAZART
AL-HAJ SUFI SYED MANSUR-UL-HASAN SHAH
too could not escape his patriotism towards India

and communal bloodbath. It was a terrible period
in world history. Miseries struck every home,

AL-HAJ SUFI SYED MANSUR-UL-HASAN SHAH
the spirited soldier and freedom fighter was caught
in uncertainty. He also contacts with his family
due to dissolution AZAD

HAZART AL-HAJ
SUFI SYED MANSUR-UL-HASAN SHAH |
was martyred in the war or
massacred in some Indian town. HAZART
choose to stay in crowded city of Bombay. He was
staying with to non-Muslim room partners a Hindu
and a Sikh. Though destiny prescribed him to be
lonely, he loved to be among strangers. The greatest
option for live hood he found was driving cabbies
on the streets of Bombay. Outwardly, he appeared
a perfectly normal person. Inwardly he was in
a terrible state of mind. He was a soldier deprived
of victory for no fault of his. As a true patriot,
he had risked his life for the country, it was
partitioned. He was great admire of NETAJI
and was loyal to AZAD
HIND FOUJ. But it was dissolved.
He searched for his parents, wife and children.
They were nowhere to be found. Then was he alive?
What was his purpose in life? His quest did not
permit him to perish unsung. He took upon himself
to find answers for many disturbing question.
The symbolically represents his inner turmoil.
The passengers and places of his likes and dislikes
made him a cool observes. He found many silent
suffers like himself. He knew within his heart
that he was a fighter and not trained to probe
causes and effects. He began to look for someone
other than himself. Who could quench his thirst
for truth of life? (A saintly quest indeed)
During this period of aloneness
and internal musings, he began sitting alone on
the rocks of Worli in Central Mumbai in the evenings
after a whole day of driving, he also took a fancy
of meeting mystics and saints. But none of these
impressed him to the extent of becoming their
disciple. HAZRAT

his own Khilafat.
Some how SULTAN-UL-AULIYA
